This is the
smallest guitar I've built so far. With rounded
upper and lower bouts and narrow waist... OM seemed a good
choice on a name...but it could also be called a Grand Concert.
The body size is very close to a classical guitar - but made for
steel strings.
14 1/2" lower
bout, 11 1/2" upper bout, 9 3/4" waist
4 1/4" body
depth at tail, 3 1/2" body depth at neck heel
K-45 is a
powerful little guitar. The beautiful malaysian blackwood
back and sides give depth and richness to the tone and the
adirondack top delivers plenty of head room. It has a
shorter scale but medium strings so you get playability AND
power. You can really dig into this guitar and ride it
hard... or play it softly and let it gently canter.
